The Belize Rangers of the Rio Bravo

This National Geographic "Wild Chronicles" episode features the Rio Bravo region in northwestern Belize, Central America, where We Energies has a partnership with The Nature Conservancy, other non-profit organizations and energy companies to develop two forest carbon sequestration projects. These projects are working to purchase and manage about 35,000 acres of endangered sub-tropical forest, wetland and pine savanna. Working with the Programme for Belize, the partnership seeks to reduce, avoid and mitigate 2.4 million metric tons of carbon over 40 years through land protection and sustainable forest management.
